Visa Platinum Avion Card credit card reviews

Visa Platinum Avion Card credit card details and credit card application link.

The RBC Visa Platinum Avion is a great option for those who like to receive travel rewards. Holders of the Platinum Avion credit card are guaranteed access to seats regardless of the flight or air carrier they choose. You can redeem points for airfare regardless of the airline and without any restrictions on seat capacity or blackout periods.

The interest rate per year on this card is 19.99 percent as with the Infinite Avion, and the annual fee stands at $120. A fee of $50 applies to additional cards.

Holders of the Platinum Avion can earn rewards points on any purchase charged to the card and redeem points for certificates, gift cards, and merchandise.

To be eligible for the welcome bonus of 15,000 points as a new cardholder, the Royal Bank must receive and approve your application by January 31, 2011. Additional cards and previously issued cards such as the Visa Infinite Avion, RBC Cathay Pacific Visa Platinum, RBC Royal Bank British Airways Visa Platinum, and RBC Royal Bank Visa Platinum Preferred, are not eligible for points. The welcome bonus will be indicated on the first credit card statement you receive. This offer is not subject to combinations with any other offer. In addition, the offer for redeeming flight points includes only economy class seats.

Holders of the Platinum Avion get one point for every dollar spent, with details on flight redemptions as follows. You need 15,000 points to cover an economy-class round trip within a single province or to an adjacent province in Canada, the maximum price of the ticket being $350. You have to accumulate 35,000 points to cover such a trip between any two locations in Canada, with a maximum ticket price of $750. The list gets longer.

Another way to earn rewards points is by making your travel arrangements through a partner enterprise of the RBC, the Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Carlson is a popular travel agency in Canada. Holders of this credit card get double points on any purchase made through Carlson and triple points if they book a travel package through Carlson at a participating resort or for a cruise or tour. Keep in mind that Carlson’s terms and policies apply on all purchases made through the agency.

Another way to earn points on purchases is through the Royal Bank’s Dining Program. It involves signing up for the program and making points on money spent at participating restaurants. These points appear on your statement within a month and a half of charging the purchase to the card. There are participating restaurants throughout Canada.

While many offers sound lucrative, the wise compare before applying for any particular product. The Capital One® Aspire™ World MasterCard® comes with an annual interest rate of 19.8 percent on purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers, and an annual fee of $120. This financial product is a good choice for individuals with a personal income of at least $70,000 who don’t carry balances and like earning rewards. Card holders earn two points for every dollar spent on the card. A welcome bonus of 35,000 points is given with the first purchase. The product comes with a variety of benefits such as Baggage Delay and Baggage Loss Insurance, Trip Interruption Insurance, Trip Cancellation Insurance, Travel Accident Insurance, Flight Delay Insurance, and more.
