President's Choice Financial credit cards

President’s Choice Financial offers many convenient products and services, of which the MasterCard is one of the most popular. President’s Choice boasts that new clients get started with twenty dollars’ worth of free groceries. What this means is that the client gets four coupons holding 5,000 points each, which can go toward any eligible product in participating stores. These products must be charged to the President’s Choice Financial MasterCard. The coupons are received along with the first account statement. It may take up to one month for your account to be supplemented with the points from a single coupon. Keep in mind that coupons are not cash equivalents. You get another 5,000 points if you apply for the MasterCard online.

This card lets you make points no matter where you choose to shop. You earn ten points per dollar charged to the credit card. You will be surprised to see that points accumulate really fast, and getting free groceries is not a rarity. No annual fee is charged on this product.

Holders of the PC MasterCard enjoy absolutely free premium benefits and added convenience. You can use the card wherever there is a PayPass terminal. You have the advantage of purchase insurance, extended warranty, up to four free supplementary cards for family members on your account, on which PC points pile up as well, balance transfers, and more. Your purchases are automatically covered in the event of theft, loss, or damage within 90 days of the date of purchase. The original manufacturer’s warranty is extended by up to one year. Conditions may apply on these benefits. In addition to these features, card holders have access to the online banking service of President’s Choice Financial, which allows them to view their latest monthly statement online. Clients get e-alerts when their payments are due and statements ready. They can update their online profile, customizing email preferences, and all emails are sent directly to them. Optional extras include identity registration, credit bureau reports, roadside assistance, card registry service, and account balance protection which takes care of the minimum payments on the card in case one is involuntarily unemployed, disabled, or becomes hospitalized. In case of death, the account balance protection pays off the account balance in the amount of up to $15,000. The card registry service is handy in cancelling and requesting replacement if one’s credit card is stolen or lost and stores a list of important documents such as one’s passport and driver’s license in case they are misplaced.

New clients can benefit from the promotional rate on balance transfers. This applies when you transfer loans and funds from other credit cards. The current balance transfer rate is 2.97 percent for a period of four months depending on the time of application.

You can redeem points for free rewards at participating stores, and practically all products are eligible. Participating stores in Canada include Superstore, Independent, Fortinos, Extra Foods, Freshmart, Nofrills, SaveEasy, Provigo, Loblaws, Valu-mart, Maxi, and many more. This promotional balance transfer offer is valid until January 3, 2011. You must have at least 20,000 points to be eligible for redemption. The equivalent of this amount is $20. You cannot redeem points for tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, lottery tickets, prescription pills and, oddly enough, milk in Quebec.

Finally, holders of the President’s Choice Financial MasterCard enjoy the worldwide recognition of the brand. MasterCard is accepted in more than 210 countries at over 24 million sites of commerce.
