Visa Infinite Avion credit card reviews

Visa Infinite Avion credit card details and credit card application link.

The Visa Infinite* Avion by RBC offers a wide variety of top-class travel benefits, full insurance coverage, and the possibility to earn additional RBC rewards points. Aptly named Avion, it is perfect for those who travel often out of their province of residence. This card offers a host of premium travel rewards, fulfilling your every need both at home and abroad.

The annual interest rate on this card comes to 19.99 percent with an annual fee of $120. If you want to have an additional Visa Avion card issued, on which reward points accumulate as well, the fee is $50 a year. Applicants are required to have a personal income of $60,000 or a household income of $100,000 per year.

The Visa Avion allows you to earn 25 percent more rewards points on travel purchases, additional insurance coverage, and other extras. There are no flight blackouts or seat restrictions – you can redeem points on flights any time. You get one rewards point for every Canadian dollar spent on purchases. These do not include interest charges, cash advances, credits, or service fees. You also get 25 percent more points if you charge flight tickets, hotel reservations, and travel amenities to your card. Clients get 1.25 points for every $1.00 CAD spent on travel-related purchases charged to the card at accommodations, airlines, car rentals, and travel agencies. In some cases, this benefit does not apply – namely, if these services are offered by separate merchants found on the premises of the latter but coded differently. Merchants such as airlines, hotels, travel agencies, and car rentals, participating in the program are coded under Canadian law accordingly.

New clients can take advantage of a welcome bonus - 15,000 rewards points upon having the card issued. In order to take advantage of this benefit, the application must be approved within the period of March 1 - January 31, 2011. Additional cards and previously issued cards, including RBC Royal Bank Visa Platinum Avion, RBC Royal Bank Visa Platinum Preferred, and RBC Royal Bank British Airways Visa Platinum, and are not eligible.

What is more, you will get free merchandise, gift cards or certificates, and financial rewards vouchers from the Royal Bank, exclusive access to the Avion Air Travel Redemption Schedule, concierge services, and other benefits. The minimum credit limit is $5,000.

The elite holders of the Visa Avion are automatically included in the exclusive hotel and dining programs. Clients are entitled to out-of-country emergency medical insurance for a period of 15 days if they are under 64, but just 3 days if they are 65 or older.

Another good offer for a credit card is advertised by the MBNA. The WorldPoints MasterCard goes with an annual fee of $29, interest rate of 19.99 percent, default rate of 5 percent, and grace period of 21 days. The minimum payment is $15 or 1 percent of the balance. Likely applicants are residents of Canada with Canadian credit file, of majority age, with an annual income of at least $35,000, and with good credit history (clear of delinquent accounts and bankruptcies). Card holders earn 1 rewards point for every dollar they spent in purchases and qualify for a welcome bonus of 1000 points with their first transaction. Bonus points can be redeemed for various merchandize and travel rewards.
